Course Description

Scripture weaves for us a literary tapestry that is rich and beautifully textured. In Preaching the Biblical Genres you will learn about the elements of the various genres and how they impact the story they are communicating. Learn how to exegete from each genre responsibly, respecting its unique structure, language, and purpose. Whether you are seeking to engage with historical narratives, unpack poetry and wisdom, expound on prophetic visions, or conveying the salvific messages found in the New Testament epistles, this course will equip you to preach God’s holy and inspired Word with fidelity and the reverence it deserves.

***This course is part of the seven-course Preaching series. If you would like to enroll in the Preaching Certificate Series to take all seven courses, please be sure to visit that program page to register.
